Bride to Brewery…
Esther and hubby JC Tetreault were among the first to be married at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. At the time, Esther started a blog to track her wedding progress, ideas and inspirations which became popular with not only her guests, but other brides who were interested in her journey. Her blog, coupled with their magical wedding video, was the humble beginning to what is now a bustling wedding season at the Vineyard. Needless to say, they were instrumental to our initial success.
Since then, Esther and JC have had much to celebrate including their two kids and now their next big accomplishment as a couple, their brewery. Trillium Brewing Company, whose retail space and tasting room is located in Boston, MA, has been open for business since March of 2013. Their focus is to bring the time tested tradition of Boston beer culture into the modern-day, emphasizing native ingredients and artisan practices. Much like their wedding, every detail has been thought of. Even the beer taps are hand carved out of reclaimed wood from old beams saved during the demolition of a nearby building in Southie. It is no surprise that Trillium is driven by local, authentic expertise to craft a distinctive and characterful drinking experience.
While the parallels between vineyard and brewery are not exact, the heart of the businesses are much the same. Their hard work is already paying off as Trillium was recently featured as Best of New Food in the Boston Globe magazine. They were also featured on Boston.com here as brew of choice for “Hair of the Dog.”
We could not be more excited for Esther and JC! We especially look forward to joining them for a tasting at Trillium, and being on the other side of the bar for a change. Visit the Trillium site here.
Cheers to creating something special,
As a man of many talents, JC filmed the 2009 Fall Harvest at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. To view JC’s video along with other wedding films, visit the Vineyard gallery here.
