If you know me, then you know I love to shop…

Fun Company is great because, as advertised, they are a ‘Sample Outlet Store’, so it’s basically like having a TJ Maxx right in the Stonington Boro.

fun5With an eclectic mix of women’s and children’s clothing, toys, small home furnishings and good humored gift ideas, it is hard to walk out empty handed. Last visit I stopped by in hopes of scoring a vibrant Barbara Gerwit tunic for the summer, but was out of luck when I discovered most of the smaller sizes had been bought up over the weekend.

Tunic-less, but not disappointed, there was plenty in the store that kept me browsing, smiling, and sometimes even giggling to myself. A highlight of my visit was venturing into the “Linen Room,” which I previously hadn’t known existed. It is like something out of the ‘Princess and the Pea’ with down pillows, comforters, duvets and sheets stacked to the ceiling (not to mention high quality at super good prices).

The store, which is a sea of different colors and textures, is certainly ready for spring. It is also the perfect stop for anyone needing to do a little Easter basket or Mother’s Day shopping… Or just stop by to pick up something for yourself!

Cheers to some Fun this spring,

p.s. My personal best Fun Company find: Kate Unger Summer Party Dress, $60. I bought this dress two Summers ago for a Labor Day weekend wedding I attended. Still love it!
