Today’s post is dedicated to the Saltwater Farm Vineyard team. I have had the pleasure of calling them my friends (and what seems like a second family) for over three years now. Whenever we are together there is always adventure, laughs and… plenty of wine! Every year the SFV staff and friends take the Cross Sound ferry from New London to Orient Point and vineyard hop the North Fork of Long Island. We sip on delicious wine, meet some new friends in the industry and even learn a thing or two along the way. We have a couple of stops that have become tradition, but it is fun discovering new wineries, especially those just starting out.
We listen in as winemaker, Gilles Martin, educates us on the grapes used at Sparkling Pointe.
Above, the cork used for sparkling wine before it takes its shape in the bottle… much wider in diameter than a standard wine cork.
Bring on the sparkling!

Tasting at Bedell Cellars.
We love what we do so much we can barely call it work. I hope when you come to visit us, it shows. We want you to enjoy this amazing wine world as much as we do.
Cheers to many more adventures together,
