Just like clockwork, Southeastern Connecticut is experiencing its first snowstorm of the season the same late January weekend as last year.

In case your running thru your Netflix line-up faster than bread and milk at Stop & Shop and your snuggle buddy (or buddies -in my case my two cats) isn’t up for another snowed-in movie marathon featuring The Notebook and whatever other infinitely rewatchable, albeit admittedly chick flick DVDs you have hanging around, I might have just the trick.

Cue Julie and Andrew’s wedding video from this past season. Five and a half minutes of pure “awakens the soul and makes us reach for more” lovey dovey perfection that makes us watch Noah and Allie’s (the couple in The Notebook, duh) love story over and over and over…

In Julie’s words, “From the moment I met you I knew you were the boy I wanted to marry.” Rachel McAdams could’t have said it better herself.

Not to mention they got a little Katie Holmes/Joshua Jackson circa Dawson’s Creek vibe going on. So adorable.

In the word’s of Julie’s grandmother, “Love is friendship that has caught on fire.” Thinking of it, today is a perfect day to cozy up by the fire.

Cheers to Julie and Andrew and all the Noah and Allie’s out there,

No big plans this weekend? Not to worry, just looking at April and Scott’s photos from their wedding celebration at Saltwater Farm Vineyard just might be enough excitement for the night.

From the lively introductions, heartfelt toasts and first dances, April and Scott’s reception was picture perfect and their photographer did a stunning job of capturing the emotions of the couple and their friends and family.

April and her bridesmaids took center stage for a choreographed dance number (loving the fans and glasses ladies!).

And April really played to her guests with an ever so dramatic cake cutting ceremony.

Whether on or off the dance floor, the party that followed was nothing short of top notch – these are some seriously happy people!

Led by none other than the bride (Dad’s got some good moves too!) these party people had the dance floor jammin’ straight thru the night with Sweet Tooth and the Sugar Babies providing the playlist.

Love these pictures! Now I’m ready for a nap…

Cheers to April + Scott!

First off, Happy New Year! It has been a while since our last post so we wanted to start 2016 off with a bang and April and Scott’s wedding is sure not to disappoint. Seriously, the level of fun and excitement that these two and their friends and family displayed on their big day was nothing short of extraordinary…

As is so often the case, bride April set the tone for the day with a style and energy that can only be describe as ‘classic Hollywood beauty meets rockstar chic.’ In fact, when she sent along the link to their wedding photos the salutation read “Hi Rockstars,” so fitting!

April and Scott were wed off-site at St. Mary’s Church, just a short one mile drive from Saltwater Farm Vineyard in picturesque Stonington Borough.

After the ceremony April and Scott hopped into a killer vintage Dodge convertible for a fun photo op and stylish transportation back to the vineyard.

Back at Saltwater Farm, April, Scott and family participated in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in the bridal loft.

Thanks to the added shelter of our custom Sperry tent the couple and their guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the back patio with live music, libations and lite fare before retreating inside for the rest of the evening’s celebration.

And what a celebration it was. They had so much fun one post just won’t do their wedding justice. Stay tuned for part two of April and Scott’s Real Wedding, featuring some of their perfectly inspired fall wedding details and the second half of their big day (this is just the intro and already cutting a rug!).

Cheers to these two “Rockstars” and stay tuned for more!
