From their first visit to Saltwater Farm, Daisy and Mike were a memorable couple, in part because Daisy’s father Tom, the proud papa of three beautiful young women, was anticipating the marriage of his baby girl. During an afternoon at the Vineyard, Daisy’s father shared the story of how her name came to be – not given at birth, but by no other than Daisy herself – while bouncing on her father’s lap as a little girl, a favorite, frequently recited nursery rhyme the inspiration. Over the course of several visits to the Vineyard, Daisy’s dad showed his Saltwater Farm FOB pride and claimed the title of “Most Saltwater Farm Vineyard Apparel Purchased By One Person” (seriously, we invented the title just for him!).

So when it was time to walk his girl down the aisle, dad beamed and Daisy stunned. Surrounded by family and friends, Daisy and Mike were married on May 24th between the two blocks of Cabernet Franc grapes experiencing bud break, a fitting metaphor for a new marriage and the growth and prosperity to come with time.

The celebration continued with dinner and dancing inside, with elegant touches accentuating the pure happiness of the evening.

Safe to say the smile never left Daisy’s face. We so enjoyed getting to know Daisy, Mike and the family, and look forward to seeing them soon – BTW we have new tee shirts coming in soon!

Cheers to Daisy and Mike,

A gorgeous late July afternoon at Saltwater Farm Vineyard was the picture perfect setting for Erica & Kevin’s wedding celebration.

No attention to detail was spared, from Kevin’s monogramed and dated cufflinks to Erica’s gold Jimmy Choos.

Erica and Kevin chose to do a ‘first look’ prior to their ceremony, which left them plenty of time to sneak away (with their amazing photographer Jennifer Bach) to take a few shots on the beach and streets of the historic Stonington Borough, just a five minute drive from Saltwater Farm.

More details awaited back at the Vineyard including a custom-made welcome sign and a homemade jumbo jenga set (Kevin’s handy work).

Erica’s attendants’ pale pink dresses were perfectly complimented by the flowers from LeFrancois Florist and the floral boxes on the barrels and aisle added an extra pop of whimsy to the ceremony.

Even Mother Nature chipped in providing a detail no one could buy, a beautiful rainbow.
