As the weather continues to turn the corner to warmer and longer days there are more and more things to do around town. So whether you live locally or are planning a trip to Mystic, CT, this is what the Saltwater Farm Living crew will be up to this weekend.
Get a Grip at CrossFit Mystic
Okay, I will admit, I am a little intrigued by this event. CrossFit Mystic is opening their doors this Friday night from 5pm to 10pm for an event that “bridges between mind and body, talent and skill… East Pops. GET A GRIP. Creative and analytical minds, more than a collaboration – a showcased celebration.” DJ Frank Lo (yes, the same DJ featured at Engine Room from time to time) will be there “on the 1s and 2s” along with food from Engine Room and a live mural painting by Jamie Pearson and Mark Sapia. $20 for 21+, $10 for under 21 with 30% of the ticket price going to charity.
Sip at Saltwater Farm Vineyard
This weekend marks Saltwater Farm Vineyard‘s third since opening for the season – and our last before the Connecticut Wine Trail Passports are released. So swing in for a tasting or just grab a glass of your favorite SFV wine (the 2014 Pinot Noir is our latest release, available by the glass or bottle only). In addition to our 15% off case discount we are also offering a 5% discount off six or more bottles.
And as always you can pack some nibbles. Just keep in mind we do ask all guests to make reservations for Saturday visits and we do close promptly at 3pmFriday, Saturday and Sunday.
Live Music at Stonington Vineyards
Since we do close shop a little early on Saturday, why not swing over to Stonington Vineyards and enjoy live music by one of our favorite local performers, Ben Freiert.
Cruise on the Argia
Saturday, April 30th also marks the start of the season for the Argia, an 81 foot schooner sailing out of Mystic, CT. See Mystic, CT from a different perspective and relax as you sail by scenic coastlines and lighthouses or help the crew hoist and trim the sails. Snacks are provided, but you can also pack your own. View more details, schedule and ticket info on their website.
