Mystic is filled with great spots for Happy Hour. It is a tough job, but we will do the research and report back here with the perfect way to spend your late afternoon. This week, we are starting with the Treehouse at Oyster Club. Feel like a kid again as you are perched within the trees overlooking the Mystic River. Enjoy their rotating beer, wine and cocktail specials as you experience summer flavor with grilled oysters.

The Mystic Seaport is hosting the 23rd Annual WoodenBoat Show. This is a personal favorite because my dad has been building a Herreshoff in our basement (now moved to the garage) for the last decade. Described by Yankee Magazine’s Travel Guide as “one of Connecticut’s Top 20 Events for the Summer,” the three-day event offers something for all wooden boat enthusiasts and marine history buffs.

Highlight: The event is celebrating three of N.G. Herreshoff’s most beloved designs: the 12 ½, Newport 29, and Buzzards Bay 25. All three were originally conceived in 1914 and turn 100 this year.
Time: June 27 – 29 9am – 5pm

Saltwater Farm Vineyard Sunday music series concludes this Sunday with the “Kimberly Palmer Experience”… I also have two friends who play with me, but for various reasons (tapping being one of them) that name came about. Join us at the Vineyard for live music, oysters and a lot of fun!

Our Thursday Summer Music Series will begin the first Thursday of July and run every Thursday evening through the month of August, with live music  from 5pm to 7pm. Check here for artists.

Highlight: Come to find out
Time: 3pm – 5pm (Tasting room is open at 11am)

Cheers to Summer in Stonington,
