The holidays are undeniably upon us. Between shopping trips and visits to grandma’s house, we have a few recommendations for the weekend that are sure to get you into the spirit.

1. Lights

engine-room-10As we mentioned in a post earlier this week, Engine Room in Mystic, CT is hosting a tree lighting Friday, December 12th at 6pm, with an extended happy hour from 4pm to 7pm. Santa will be entertaining guests on the saxophone and ER’s burgers promise to warm you up from the inside out.

2. And more lights…

Need to do a little shopping? The Olde Mistick Village is hosting its annual Festival of Lights with over 4,000 luminaries and outdoor entertainment including Fly By Night Holiday Jesters and Two Tall Guys. Strolling starts Friday at dusk and continues until 9:30pm.

3. Check out Laura’s art

Her artwork, like her personality, is fun, vibrant, and could make even the grinch smile. And be sure to check out her artfully inspiring blog Laura two Tina, a collaboration between her and her bestie Tina, both of whom are artists and teachers.

4. And for the kiddos

5. Sunday Funday

10696189_1538921929687316_821260191876268499_nRed36 in Mystic, CT offers a special Sunday brunch menu including a top notch Bloody Mary bar. Reservations are accepted and the fire is lit on chilly days. Stop in, warm up and drink in the fabulous view. Check out an earlier post on Red36 here.

And we have to mention…

We are still offering 15% off all apparel and accessories online and onsite in the Tasting Room, so drop in for some shopping and stay for the wine.

Cheers to the good times & chilly December weekends!

And just for fun…Check out Drunk History’s version of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Children’s poem, adult language, so be sure to watch without the kiddos. Happy Holidays!
