Although Saltwater Farm takes the winter off from pouring wine, weekends during the off-season are often spent sharing our space with couples who are seeking a venue for their big day. While the indoor space remains the same season to season, the vineyard changes quite a bit over the course of the year. Starting with our quietest wedding season, winter, we will take a look at our beautiful backyard thru the seasons.
Although we do not do many winter weddings, they do have a distinctive look and feel. Most notably, bare vines, lots of night sky (it gets dark so much earlier this time of year), the possibility of snowflakes and, of course, a great opportunity to wear fur!
Kristen & Bryan
Kristen and Bryan lucked out with a seasonably warm Saturday this past January 9th.
Alana & Andre
Its not often but we do occasionally have a little snow on the vines as backdrop for our brides and grooms. Just check out these photos from Alana and Andre’s wedding a few winters back.
Alana came prepared with Uggs for her magical outdoor photos.
Liza & Chris
Liza and Chris’s wedding is a perfect example of our indoor space being able to seamlessly accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all indoors.

Thinking of waiting until early spring to tie the knot? Keep in mind that while the grass gets greener and the world is “coming to life” in late March and April it isn’t until the middle of May that the vines show signs of growth. Check out these two picture perfect April weddings.
Kim & Chris
A mostly cloudy April afternoon was mild enough for a fun outdoor photo op (check out their antique whip).

April & Mike
Blue skies prevailed and the grass was really popping in their April wedding photos.
Cheers to all our happy winter wedding couples!
